Rev. Mark T. Allwein, 97, passed away July 18 at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen H. (Frantz) Allwein. Surviving are his wife, Cecelia R. (Arnold) Allwein; daughters, Ruth A. (Glenn) Firestone, Elinor J. (Herbert) Yingst, Carol A. James L. “Jim” Arnold, 83, passed away July 15 at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ann. Surviving are children, Jody L. Hower of Lebanon, Jeanne L. Zeck (Myra Taylor) of Harrisburg, and James L. (Amy L.) Arnold of Sinking Spring; grandchildren, Thomas, Nathan, Kelly, James and Emily; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Kendall, Rhett, and Olivia; sister, Rose Marie Hess of Hershey; nieces and nephews.

Donna M. Bernotas, 58, of Pine Gove, formerly of Girardville, passed away July 16 at her residence. She is survived by daughter, Tanya (Tracy) Harvey, Mount Carmel; son, Ken (Lisa) Sturm, Kulpmont; brothers, Vincent Bernotas, Mount Holly, NJ, and Paul Bernotas, Shenandoah; sisters, Linda Dundore, Mary Ayello and Jean Burns, all of Girardville; grandchildren, Taniesha, Brayden, Thomas and Elise; her companion, Joseph Sarisky, Pine Grove; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Edward L. “Les” Boyer, 96, of Good Spring, passed away July 20 at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville. His wife, Lois Miller Boyer, preceded him ind death. Surviving are daughters, Janice (Tony) Mione, Tower City, and Donna Boyer, Schuylkill Haven; brother, Ralph Boyer, Massachusetts; sister, Faye Krammes, New Hampshire; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

Jean M. Brobst, 83, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away July 22 at Genesis Healthcare Schuylkill Center, Pottsville. Her husband, Harry H. Brobst Sr., preceded her in death. Jean is survived by daughters, Michele G. Cicero (Gary Miller) and Angela C. (David D.) Weiser, both of Schuylkill Haven; sons, Thomas A. (Linda L.) Brobst, Schuylkill Haven, and John P. (Barbara) Brobst, Pottsville; son-in-law, Joseph Zelinsky, Mechanicsville; grandchildren; great-grandchildren;  great-great-grandson; sister, Mary Jacobs, Brandonville; brother-in-law, Bill Shafransky, Ringtown; nieces and nephews.

June H. Bruder, 104, passed away July 16. She was the wife of the late Anthony Bruder. June is survived by daughters, Teresa J. Fortna, Margaret A. (Newton) Culbert, and Barbara P. Whitman; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; sister, Claudia Ingaldi; nieces and nephews.

Klara K. Burkle, 84, of Pine Grove, passed away July 18. Her husband, Alfred W. Burkle, preceded her in death. Klara is survived by sons, William F. Thesing, Willow Grove, Ronald T. (Valerie) Burkle, Skippack, and Stephen A. (Linda) Burkle, Pine Grove; daughter, Andrea K. (Randall) Knoll, Pine Grove; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister, Hannelore Koziol, Colchester, CT; brother, Hans Gruber, Stadbergen, Germany; nieces and nephews.

Tyler Jon Burkholder, infant son of Lynford S. and Jolene S. Zimmerman Burkholder, of Lebanon, passed away July 11 in the Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. Also surviving are siblings, Jaired, Aleah, Madalyn and Lauren; and grandparents, Leaon and June Burkholder, Paul and Arlene Zimmerman;

Paul J. Ceresini, 91, passed away July 17 at the Hershey Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Hlavaty) Ceresini; sister, Gina Pasquini of Hershey; nieces, nephews and their families; and stepdaughters, stepsons and their families.

Iovanca Cuzmici, 65, of Jonestown, passed away July 16 at her home. She is survived by daughter, Ermina (Daniel) Guth of Jonestown; granddaughter, Nadia; and sister, Angela Iuga of Portland, OR.

James J. Davis III, 75, passed away July 18 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He is survived by his wife, Donna Davis of Cornwall; son, James J. Davis IV of Omaha, NE; daughters, Loretta Davis of Lebanon and Andrea Davis of Omaha; brother, Ernest Davis of Arroyo Grande, CA; and sister, Mary Davis of Morgantown, WV.

Harvey C. “Buster” Deitrich, 58, of Hegins, passed away July 21 at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center. He is survived by brother, John R. (Sheila) Deitrich, Hegins; sisters, Carol A. (Jack) Kukuk, Muir, and Patricia L. Deitrich, Pottsville; nieces, Tammy Kukuk, Muir, and Crystal Owens, Mechanicsburg; and nephew, Lamar Kukuk, Palmyra.

David E. Dent, Sr., 78, of Pine Grove, passed away July 20 at home.

Patricia J. Evely, 75, of Lebanon, passed away July 17 at her home. She was the wife of Robert H. Evely. Patricia is also survived by sons, Gregory A. (Michelle) Whitman of Cleona, Robbie P. (Josie) Whitman of Lebanon, and Aubrey C. Whitman of Lebanon; daughter, Dena M. Whitman of S. Lebanon; grandchildren, Louis, Nicole, Lauren, Ashley, Derek and Jessie; and great-grandchildren.

Edward P. Greiner, 88, of the Traditions of Hershey, passed away July 18 at the Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Theresa A. Hickey Greiner. Edward is survived by daughter, Pamela S. (Jeffrey) Shirk of Lebanon; grandchildren, Lucas and Cassidy; brother, Raymond (Eileen) Greiner of Lancaster; and sister, Blanche (Ellis) Kauffman of Manheim.

Beverly Ann Harvatine, 75, of Cleona, passed away July 16 at home. She was the wife of Frank Harvatine. Also surviving are daughters, Denise (Stuart) Edmonds of Newark, DE, Lisa (Robert) Ingalls of Hershey, Kristine (John) Cowfer of Palmyra; son, Joe (Dawn) Harvatine of Sykesville, MD; grandchildren, Benjamin, Samuel, Michael, Zachary, Megan, Emily and Alex; and brothers, Michael Paluch, Joseph Paluch, and Thomas Paluch.

Joseph “Jack” Sherwood Hickernell, 92, passed away July 15 at home in the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. He was the widower of Carolyn Jane Ney. Jack is survived by children, Connie R. Hickernell, Millersville, and Cathy H. (Gary) Pastva, Cape Cod, MA; niece, Barbara D. Jacobson of Plant City, FL; nephew, David J. Landis, Sr. of Ocean Pines, MD; niece, Rebecca Wixon-Stoyer of Shillington; and cousins.

Carol M. Holzinger, 77, of Hegins, passed away July 20 at her residence.

Sara A. Hostetter, 91, of Myerstown, passed away July 16 at Stone Ridge Towne Center. She was the wife of the late Paul E. Hostetter. Surviving are daughter, Kathleen Ebersole of Myerstown; grandchildren, Michael and Stacy; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Ronald L. Imhof, 84, passed away July 19 at Cedar Haven. He is survived by his wife, Nancy L. (Brucker) Imhof; children, Eric Imhof of Lebanon, Elizabeth (Larry) Dalsimer of Exton, and David (Sherry) Imhof of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Kurt (Erin), Anthony, Olivia, and Kristopher; great-grandchildren, Lorelei, Harper and Sawyer; and sister, Doris Carpenter.

William E. “Bill” Johnson, 69, passed away July 20 at Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the widower of Leah M. Johnson. Bill is survived by children, William P. (Sheri) Johnson of Lebanon, Roger L. Johnson of Annville, Ammon B. (Rebecca) Johnson of Lebanon, Joe (Edie) Nowakowski of Tennessee; grandchildren, Daniel, Alisha, Darren, Lane, Brianna, Molly, Trina, Cassandra; great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Isabella; brothers, Allen (Karen) Johnson of Pittsburgh, George (June) Johnson of Arnot; and sisters, Elsie Mutek of Manheim, and Mary Morris of Colorado.

Harvey David Kreiser, 55, of Annville, passed away at home July 12. He was the husband of Bonnie Witmer Kreiser.

Jenean K. Kreiser, 55, passed away July 17 at Spang Crest Manor. She was the daughter of Thomas P. Swoyer and the late Christine Pickett Swoyer. Surviving are son, Cameron P. Kreiser; grandchildren, Brennen, Kayleigh; sister, Sheila M. (Michael) Folmer; niece, Elizabeth Meyer; and nephew, Michael Folmer.

Harold B. Leech, Jr., 84, passed away July 16 in the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He is survived by daughters, Wanda (Keith) Lambert and Fonda Civitello; and siblings, Boyd, Johnny, Roy, Oscar, Clara Mae, Joyce and Ruthann.

Shirley A. Lehman, 94, of Pine Grove, passed away July 21 at Berks Heim Nursing and Rehab, Leesport. Her husband, Leroy W. Lehman, preceded her in death. Surviving are daughters, Carol (Gerald) Anderson, Sinking Spring, Diane (Tom) Cleary, Pine Grove; son, Lamar (De) Lehman, Pine Grove; grandchildren, Steve, David, Jen and Brandy; great-grandchildren, Calder, Covington, Connor and Aaron; brothers, Robert Rumpf, Minersville, Paul Rumpf, Pine Grove; sister, Grace Rumpf, Pine Grove; nieces and nephew.

Wayne R. Leitzel, Sr., 68, of York, passed away July 17. Surviving is son, Wayne R. Leitzel, Jr., Tower City.

Michael “Mike” Marchiano, 66, of Valley View, passed away July 15 at ManorCare, Sinking Spring. Surviving are sons, Philip (Sandra) Marchiano, Douglassville, and Nathan Marchiano, Silver Spring, MD; sisters, JoAnne Ritter, Trenton, NJ, and Cathy Gass, Ocean Pines, MD; brother, Robert Marchiano, Okeechobee, FL; grandchildren, Blake, Brett and Breanne; and ex-wife, Gail Ebert-Marchiano, Palmyra.

Alverta Martin, 102, formerly of Reamstown, passed away July 21 at StoneRidge Poplar Run, Myerstown. She was the widow of William P. Martin, Jr. Alverta is survived by grandchildren, Tina (Joseph III), Joel (Stephanie), Mindy (Eric), Brian; and great-grandchildren, Terry, Deanna, Katelyn, Logan and Ella.

Judith Ann McComb Burcik, 66, of Wayne Twp., passed away July 20 at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg. She was the wife of Robert Joseph Burcik. Judy is also survived by daughter, Amy (Brock) Holland, Pottsville; sons, Michael (Shannon) Burcik, Pottsville, Matthew Burcik, Alexandria, VA, and Scott (Lindsey) Burcik, Schuylkill Haven; grandchildren, Derek, Evan, Logan, Mc-Kenzie, Delaney, Gwenyth, and Lily; sister, Mary McComb, Washington, DC; brother, John (Eileen) McComb, Media; brother-in-law, Richard (Susan) Burcik; nieces and nephews.

Anna Mae Ondrusek, 85, passed away July 20 at Cedar Haven Nursing Home. She is survived by daughters, Brenda Russell, Kim (Kevin) Anspach and Kelly (Brian) Brandt; grandchildren, Ronald Jr., Rodney, Tyler, and Paige; great-grandchildren, Brady, Cole, and Olivia; nieces and nephews.

Audrey R. Phillips, 72, passed away July 17 at the Hyman Caplan Pavilion. She was the wife of Kenneth R. Phillips. Audrey is also survived by children, Michael P. Hertzler of Lebanon, Kenneth A. Phillips of Palmyra, Susan L. Barnhart of Lebanon, Donna M. (Edward) Beadle of Jonestown, and Gail L. Phillips of Lebanon; sister, Kay Gift of Kutztown; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Mary L. Rhoads, 93, of Hegins, passed away July 20. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Rhoads. Mary is survived by daughter, Janey L. (Randolph Sr.) Wehry, Klingerstown; son, Robert E. (Joanne) Rhoads, Cape May, NJ; grandchildren, Katie, Hilary, Josephine, Janelle and Randolph Jr.; and great-grandchildren.

Kenneth G. Schaeffer, 82, formerly of Palmyra, passed away July 18 at Hill Farm Estate. He was the widower of Freida J. (Houser) Schaeffer. Surviving are children, Steven Schaeffer of Lebanon, David Schaeffer of Annville, and Karen (David) Finney of Palmyra; granddaughters, Bethany, Kelly, and Sash; and great-granddaughter, Lily.

Ada T. Schneck, 101, of Martinsville, VA, formerly of Pine Grove, passed away July 19 in Blue Ridge Therapy Connection, Stuart, VA. Her husband, Carl M. Schneck, preceded her in death. Surviving are son, Keith (Deborah) Schneck, Martinsville, VA; grandson, Sean-Keith; granddaughter, Amanda; great-grandchildren, Alex, Dillon, Dustin, Emma, Logan and Mia; and sister, Claire Williams, Pine Grove.

Donna L. Shaeffer, 66, passed away July 18 in the Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of the late Elam A. Shaffer, Jr. Donna is survived by children, Sherri (Duane) Rubendall, Kristi (Todd) Livering, Jonathan (Stacey) Shaeffer, and Jason (Trudi) Shaeffer; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Terry S. Shimp, 65, of Key West, FL, and Palmyra, passed away July 17. Surviving are his wife, Cathy A. (Viall) Shimp, and son, Jonathan A. (Amy) Shimp of Palmyra.

Dorothy L. Snyder, 83, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away July 22 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street. She was the widow of Arthur E. Snyder. Dorothy is survived by son, Bruce Snyder, Kulpmont; daughter, Diane Snyder, Schuylkill Haven;  grandson, Caleb; and nieces, Ruth Morgan, Nancy Freeman, Kay Tommer and Carla Otto.

Linda L. Thierwechter, 75, passed away July 16 in Manor Care, Lebanon. Surviving are son, Carl Thierwechter Jr., Richland; grandchildren, Keith, Nicole, Chad, Bryant, Renee, Shawn, Kianna, Morgan and Cheyanne; great-grandchildren; and sister, Pat Deckert.

Jesse D. Ziegler, 94, of Womelsdorf, passed away July 12  at his residence. He was the husband of Carol J. (Handwerk) Ziegler.
