Charles W. Baker, 75, Lebanon, passed away July 31 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. Charles was predeceased by his daughter, Deborah Lynn Baker.
Wesley Lamar Carl Sr., 69, Hegins, passed away Sunday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Surviving are his wife, Nancy Klinger Carl; daughters, Leslie Gilda and her husband, Alan, Freeburg, Teresa Perna and her companion, Dean Bauer, Barto, and Aislyn Wood, Pottsville; son, Wesley L. Carl Jr. and his wife, Amy, Valley View; grandchildren, Elexa Lubold, Emerald Zedonek and her husband, John, Nick Carl, Chrissy Carl, Harrison Fetterolf, Emerson Fetterolf and Victor Stehr; a brother, Albert Carl; sisters, Margaret Straub, Ellen Drumheller and Carolyn Schaeffer; nieces and nephews.
Arlene E. Fidler, 86, passed away on Friday at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Schuylkill Haven. Preceding her in death was her husband, Elvin "Curly" Fidler. Surviving are a daughter, Carol, wife of John Haldeman, and a son, Gary Fidler, both of Pine Grove; grandchildren, Haley, wife of Steve Hardenstine, William Haldeman, Megan Lengle and Cody Fidler; a great-grandson, Kade Haldeman; two step-great-grandchildren, Rory Hardenstine and Royale Hardenstine; sisters, Betty Hein, Nazareth, and Anna Mae Smith, Kansas; and a brother, Kenneth Reichert, Pine Grove.
Neil J. Florick, 32, of Tremont, passed away Wednesday in Pottsville. He was a son of Edward and Mary Roth Florick, Pottsville. Surviving in addition to his parents, are bothers, Greg Florick, Pottsville, and Eddie Florick, Phoenix Park; paternal grandfather, Edward Florick, Pottsville; maternal grandmother, Theresa Roth, Pottsville; his girlfriend, Michelle Dougherty, Pottsville; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Amyah Justine Gambles, infant daughter of Damaris Perez and Anthony Gambles, Lebanon, passed away August 6 at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. In addition to her parents, she is survived by siblings, Justin Perez, Amanie Perez, Aniyah Gambles, Anthony Gambles, Antjuan Gambles, and Cinsere Ortiz; maternal grandparents, Melba Maldonado and Freddy Perez; and paternal grandmother, Carolyn Williams.
Pauline Kathryn (Rittle) Ginder, 85, formerly of Hershey, passed away August 7 in Spring Creek Rehabilitation & Health Care, Harrisburg. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence E. Ginder. Surviving are daughters, Donna E. Backenstoes and husband Ralph of Annville and Jane G. Swims and husband Douglas of Hummelstown; a son, Dale E. Ginder and wife Linda of Elizabethtown; grandchildren, Amy and Greg Backenstoes, Christopher and Cassandra Ginder, and Maya Swims; brothers, Harvey and Kenneth Rittle; and sisters, Betty Sudbury, Verna Burke, Mamie Haldeman, and Clara Moyer.
Floyd W. Hafer, 81, of Pine Grove, passed away Wednesday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street. He was the husband of Joyce Hoffman Hafer. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Deborah Bolick, widow of Daryl, Birdsboro, Kerrie Matz, wife of Richard, Schuylkill Haven, and Patricia Snyder, wife of David, Pine Grove; grandchildren, Megan Bolick, Lauren Grimes, Christine and Alexis Lewars; and great-grandchildren, Kiyarah Feliciano, Hana Grimes, Matthew Nahodil, Devyn Luciano and Eliyannah Luciano.
Giselle M. Keener, 68, of Myerstown, passed away August 3 at StoneRidge Towne Centre, Myerstown. She was the wife of James E. Keener.
Mary Jane Kehres, 65, Minersville, passed away Thursday, August 7 at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street. She is survived by nephew, Scott Ludwig and his wife Sandra and their children, of Auburn, PA; niece, Candace Ludwig and her children of CA; a cousin, Emily Scheuren and her husband John; of Honey Brook, PA as well as numerous cousins.
Ethel M. Kurtz, 71, died Tuesday, August 5 at StoneRidge Towne Centre, Myerstown. She was the wife of the late Richard L. Kurtz. Joan R. Landis, 80, Lebanon, passed away August 3 in the Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Dale W. Landis. Bruce E. Tobin, 54, Pine Grove, passed away Wednesday at home. He was a son of Shirley J. Wetzel Tobin, Pine Grove, and the late Clarence R. Tobin Sr. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are brothers, Clarence R. "Barney" Tobin Jr. and Scott Tobin, both of Pine Grove; a sister, Kelly J. Jones, Mechanicsburg; nieces and nephews, Sarah Tobin, who is also his goddaughter, Carly Tobin, Toby Tobin, Ryan Jones and Conner Jones.
Janet Marie Wanamaker, 59, of Lebanon passed away August 6 at Liberty Nursing and Rehab Center in Allentown. She was a daughter of Aretta M. Wanamaker and the late Stanley Wanamaker. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a sister, Carol Slack of Allentown.
