Arlene L. Brightbill, 87, Annville, passed away July 22 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Earl W. Brightbill. Surviving are sons, Earl W. Brightbill, Jr. and wife, Barbara of Lebanon, and Gregory S. Brightbill and wife, Cheryl of Lebanon; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; a brother, Alvin Eshleman of Florida; and a sister, Esther Rhine of Harrisburg.
Carl W. Brown, 82, of Pine Grove, passed away July 20 at home. Surviving are his wife, Doris Nagle Brown; sons, Kevin Brown and his wife, Tara, Pine Grove, and Jeffrey C. Brown, Charlotte, N.C.; daughter, Yvonne C., wife of Glenn Hummel, Pine Grove; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and sisters, Elaine, wife of James Gilbert, Schuylkill Haven, Jean, wife of Arthur Bernd, Lancaster, and Shirley Ketrow, Hagerstown, Md.
Dale Richard Brown, 74, passed away July 23 in the Mt. Joy Hospice Center. Dale was the husband of Dorothy C. Barrett Brown and a son of Raymond William Brown of Myerstown and the late Christine Hess Brown. Surviving, in addition to his wife and father, are his children, Thomas Dale, husband of Sheri Brown of Lancaster, Jeffrey Dale, husband of Ellen Brown of Elizabethtown, and Sally Ann, wife of Stan Wadas of Fredericksburg, Va.; grandchildren; and a brother, Randy Lee, husband of Katherine Brown of New Providence.
Eugene E. “Gene” Chernich, 78, passed away July 23 at home. He was the husband of Margaret McGee Chernich. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Jason Chernich and wife, Rebecca of Lebanon; grandchildren, Corrine, Brenna, and Maggie; and sisters, Janice, Antoinette, Joan, Linda, and Jane; nieces and nephews.
Beverly Ann Clay, 68, passed away July 23 in the Golden Living Center in Reading. Beverly is survived by sisters, Jackie Jenkins of Dayton, Md., Carol Ward of Lovitsville, Va., Eileen Billman of Jonestown, and Nancy Jullian of Edina, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Daisy M. Copenhaver, 86, passed away July 24, in Stone Ridge Towne Centre. She was the wife of the late Miles Copenhaver. Surviving are daughters, Phyllis, wife of Ray Merriam of Lebanon, and Debra McGee of Grantville; grandsons, Jason P. and wife, Raquel Merriam, and Steven C. and wife, Penny Merriam, and great-grandchildren, Tatyanna, Cheyenne, Desire’, Alyssa, and Matthew, all of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and sisters, Mary Muth, Hilda Schaeffer, and Rosene Duffy.
Jeremiah H. Davis, 81, passed away July 25 at Palmyra Nurshing Home. Surviving are sons, Stephen Davis, Kevin Davis, Jeremiah Davis, Jr., and Ronald Davis; stepchildren, George Gilbert, Jean Fasnacht, Mary Witmer, and Kenneth Gilbert; grandchildren, Amy Jo, Bobbi Jo, Amber, Rebecca, Ashley, Ericka, Jeremiah, Jennifer, Christopher, Randy, Kenneth Jr., Tammy, Dawn, Todd, Heather, George Jr., Michelle, Jacob, and Sarah; many great-grandchildren; and many brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by wife, Doris L. Davis nee Donmoyer.
Kenneth R. Fisher, 85, of Mechanicsville, passed away July 21 at Rest Haven, Schuylkill Haven. Ken is survived by his wife, Mary B. Blakely Fisher, Mechanicsville; daughters, Carol Fisher Coover, Mechanicsville, and Elizabeth Fisher Khan and her husband, Parwaiz, Harrisburg; son, Kenneth R. Fisher Jr. and his wife, Dolores, Mechanicsville; brother, Robert Fisher, Palo Alto; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Pat 'Patsy' Gamble, 80, who passed away July 17. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles 'Chuck' Gamble. Pat is survived by her stepson, Mark Gamble of Florida; stepdaughter, Kris Holler of New York; and step grand and greatgrandchildren.
Ray L. Herring, 82, of Tower City, passed away at his home. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Seiger Herring; stepgrandchildren, Randal Brosius and Christy Artman; and step-great-grandchildren.
Arlene Hunyara, 83, formerly of Phoenix Park, passed away at Schuylkill Center. Preceding her in death was her husband, John Hunyara. Surviving are sons, Scott Hunyara (Linette), Minersville, and Todd Hunyara (Tina), Reedsville; grandchildren, John and Laura Hunyara and Tyler, Travis and Tori Hunyara; a sister, Lillian MacCready, Minersville; nieces and nephews.
Chester Ziegler Keller, 88, passed away July 12 in Portland, Ore. Chester is survived by his sister, Eva (Wagner) Wampler; grandchildren, Hannah and David Conwell and Suzanne and James Keller; his three children and their spouses, Kent and Teresa (Harder) Keller of Palouse, Wash., Mark Keller and Sondra Storm, and Kristen and Bill Conwell of Portland, Ore.

Joseph C. "Lapper" Lapinsky Jr., Schuylkill Haven, passed away July 20 at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. Kay Ann Major, 70, Jonestown, passed away July 24 at her home. She was the wife of Larry A. Major. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Ralph A., husband of Cheryl Major of Jonestown, and Stephen A., husband of Stephanie Major of Clifford Twp.; sister, Mary Cooney of Hope, R.I.; her brother, Thanh Nguyen of Louisville, Ky.; and grandchildren, William and Katie.

Mary Yonno Potash, 86, passed away July 12 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She was the wife of Dr. George C Potash. Mary is survived by her husband, Dr. George C. Potash; her son, George C. Potash, III. Esq., Philadelphia; her daughter, Pamela S. Potash-Hanford, D.O.; her son-in- law, Scott Hanford; and her grandchildren, Montgomery and Eliza Hanford. Mary is also survived by her siblings, Grace, Gene, and Rita and their respective families.
Dawn Marie Steckbeck Prihar, 52, passed away at the Hershey Medical Center on July 21. She was the daughter of the late Charles Walter Steckbeck and Mildred Elizabeth Steckbeck. Surviving also are brothers, Dean and Derik Steckbeck, both of Lebanon County, and Douglas Steckbeck of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; her husband, Harry; children, Andrew Singh and Asha Dawn Prihar; a godson, Sean; sisters-in-law, Kimra, Sara, and Ruthann; and cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Guianna W. Reedy, 83, Richland, passed away July 27 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Marlin B. Reedy. Surviving are children, Debra K. Chillas and husband David F. Heck of Lancaster, Michele S. wife of George Achey of Newmanstown, Michael B. Reedy of Newmanstown, Lori A. wife of Luke McNaughton of Newmanstown; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren; sister, Kay wife of Dr. W. C. Manges of Danville.
The Rev. Dr. John A. (Jack) Rodgers, 84, Uscaloosa, AL,passed away July 12 at DCH Reg ional Medical Center. Survivors include his wife, Dawn M. Rodgers; daughter, Holly Shepherd (Mark); son, Carl Rodgers (Andrea) of Raleigh, N.C.; brother, James Rodgers (Holly) of Chambersburg; and grandchild, J. Adam Shepherd.
Donald W. Rummel, 85, passed away on July 24 at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home. Surviving are daughters, Echo J. Rummel of Silver Spring, Md., Lynette Rummel and her husband, Rhys Payne of Marlboro, Vt., and Lisa Getty and her husband, Jim Getty of Champlain, N.Y.; his wife, Anna (“Ann”) Groff (nee Bashore) and her sons and their wives, Phil and Cindy Groff, Terry and Barb Groff, and Tom and Diane Groff, all of Annville; a sister, Violet Mae Primel of Mineral Point, Pa.; and several sistersand brothers-in-law in Ohio. He was predeceased by his first wife, Helen (nee Rumsey).
Norman H. Schaeffer, 79, passed away July 24 at his residence. He was the husband of Diane A. Schaeffer nee Aungst. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are many nieces and nephews.
Robert A. 'Zerb' Serba, 79, passed away July 25 in the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Kenny) Serba. Surviving, in addition to his wife, Barbara, are children, Janet Watson of Johnstown, and Stephen Serba of Sacramento, Calif.; grandchildren, Jonathan, Joshua, Joseph, and Jessica; greatgrandchildren; sister, Dorothy Luciotti; and several nieces and nephews.
Esther L. Shumate, 65, of Lebanon passed away July 23 at the M. S. Hershey Medical Center. She is survived by a daughter, Hester Shumate; 2 grandchildren, Markita Hernandez and Khadijah Paxton; also several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Julia Smaltz, 94, passed away July 23 at the Berks Heim, Reading. She was the wife of the late Chester M. Smaltz. She is survived by daughters, Kay, wife of David Lessig of Reading, and Kim Knapp of Lebanon; son-in-law, Mark Schwear of Myerstown; grandchildren; greatgrandchildren; greatgreat- grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Corrin M. Townsend, 27, passed away July 18 at her home. She was the fiancé of Jimmy L. Sweigart and the daughter of Robert Townsend and Christine Roe, both of Lebanon. In addition to her fiance and parents, she is survived by her daughters, True Lynn Atwood and Journey Jaelyn Sweigart, both at home; and grandparents, Arlene Heintzelman ofMechanicsburg and Glenn Heintzelman of Dillsburg.
Vernald D. Yeagley, Jr., 59, passed away July 24 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Caridad R. Rivera Yeagley and the son of Patricia A. Barnhard Yeagley of Lebanon and the late Vernald D. Yeagley, Sr. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Joshua L. of Pine Grove, Frederick L. of Lebanon, and Christopher L. of Palmyra; his daughter, Patricia M., wife of Daniel P. Kirst of Lebanon; grandchildren; brothers, Daniel S. Yeagley of Fredericksburg and Kevin S. Yeagley of Jonestown; and sisters, Colleen B. Tuisl of Lebanon, Melody L. Haislip of Lebanon, Lorraine M.
