Joyce Benstead, 85, died Sept. 22 at Berks Heim. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Barker of Strasburg.

June A. Clark, 86, Reading, died Nov. 2 in St. Joseph Medical Center. She was the widow of Lacey O. Clark. Surviving are granddaughter Terrie L. (Baker), wife of Thomas Ash Jr., of Reading.

Samuel R. Harner Jr., 77, Reading, died Nov. 5 in ManorCare, Laureldale. He was the husband of Mary J. (Spease) Harner. He is also survived by daughters: Sylvia A. Connolly of West Lawn; Linda F. Helwig of Hamburg; Cynthia L. Fidler of Fleetwood, and Brenda E. Hoch of Reading; a brother, Charles Harner of Reading; and a sister, Mabelle Bryan of Orwigsburg.

Lee J. Ludwig, 53, Fleetwood, died Nov. 4 in St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township. He was a son of Hilda M. (Troutman) Jentsch of the Lutheran Home at Topton and the late Florian J. Ludwig. Surviving are his mother; stepfather Dr. Theodore W. Jentsch, Topton; and brother Michael Ludwig, Glen Mills, Delaware County.

Harriett F. Mattern, 88, Wyomissing, died Nov. 4 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard I. Mattern. Surviving are children: Laura I. Mattern, companion of William Creadon, Reading; Martha L., wife of Dennis Eubanks, Wyomissing; and Rick F. Mattern, Reading; siblings, Robert Freeman, Beloit, Wis., and Lorraine Solien, Janesville, Wis.; grandchildren: Karlyn, wife of Robert Wright; Matthew Huettemann, fiance of Gretchen Weiss; Jonathan Mattern and Jared Mattern.

John M. Sheetz Jr., 69, Muhlenberg Township, died Nov. 4 in his residence. He is survived by his daughters: Roxanne L. Sheetz and Tina M. Nye, both of Muhenberg Township, and Lora L. Drupp of Reading.

Robert Paul Stone Jr., 48, Douglassville, died on Nov. 4 at Reading Hospital. He was a son of Ruth Viola (Firering) Solomon and the late Robert P. Stone Sr. In addition to his mother, he is survived by brother, Michael L. Stone of Mammoth Springs, Ark.; sister, Shanna Goza, fianceé of Rudy Updegrove of Boyertown.

Edward J. Zielinski, 52, Reading, died Nov. 4 in Wyomissing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the last of his immediate family.

Reimundo Correa, 49, Reading, died Nov. 2 in Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Miriam Correa and a son of Sixto Correa and Margarita Ramos of Puerto Rico. He is also survived by sons: Reimundo Correa Jr., Nathanael Correa and Roberto Zayas Jr.; daughters: Dense Zayas, Monica and Jessica Zayas.

Kenneth W. Sutter, 74, died Nov. 6 in his Exeter Township home. He is survived by his wife, Doris M. (Breidegam) Sutter; children: Ann L. (Sutter), wife of Gary Shaeffer, and Janice M. Sutter, companion of Patti Rohaly, both of Exeter Township; and his son, Allen K. Sutter, Oley; sister, Juanita Lorah and brother, Leonard B. Sutter, both of Exeter Township; grandsons, Daniel S. Sassaman, Mount Penn; and Nathan A. Moore, Exeter Township.

Donald E. Wilk Sr., 68, Reading, died Nov. 4 in Reading Hospital. He is survived by a son, Donald E. Wilk Jr.; a stepdaughter, Rebecca J. Faust; a sister: Mary E. Pflugfelder; and stepgrandchildren, Abigail and Samantha Faust.

Arthur S. Carlson, M.D., 90, died on Oct. 27 in The Highlands of Wyomissing. He was the husband of Florence A. (Stein) Carlson. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Stephen Carlson, M.D., and  grandchildren: Melinda Carlson, PsyD., Justin Carlson, VMD, and Daniel Carlson.

Nina Ruth Epes, 68, Reading, died Nov. 5 in Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Joseph Lee Epes, Reading. Mrs. Epes is survived by a daughter, Martita L. Dunn-Thornton, Reading; a brother, Dave Ford Dunn, Philadelphia.

Alfred J. Franusiszin, 67, Spring Township, died Oct. 29 in the Lebanon VA Medical Center hospice unit. He is survived by his wife, Aruna Patel Franusiszin. Surviving also is a son, Ravi, of Wyomissing; and  daughters, Anita, wife of Mark Scheinblum of Winter Park, Fla., and Lana, wife of Kyle Millard of Youngsville, N.C.; grandchildren: Leah and Miriam Scheinblum and Ethan and Anson Millard.

Erma Anna Fretz, 86, Spring Township, died Nov. 6 in ManorCare Health Services, Spring Township. She is survived by her husband, Leroy H. Fretz; children: Phyllis, wife of Charles Hawman, Seattle; William Fretz, Perry Township; Diane (Fretz) Hallowell, Cumru Township; and Keith Fretz, Reading; a brother, Wayne Spohn, Spring Township; and sisters, Shirley Zodel, Breiningsville; and Faye Guenther, Mansfield; grandchildren Elizabeth Hawman, Matthew Hallowell, Megan Papich and Thomas Fretz.

Madeline H. Gable, 86, Cumru Township, died Nov. 7 in Reading Hospital ECU. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Gable. She is survived by her children: Jeanne Goodman, Shillington; Steven H. Gable, Sinking Spring; and Julie L. Gable, St. Petersburg Beach, Fla.; sister, Harriet Osborne, Baton Rouge, La.; grandchildren: Amy, Tiffany, Stephanie, Ben, Pete and Becca.

Sharon D. Landis, 53, Spring Township, died Oct. 29 at home. She was the wife of William R. "Bill" Landis Jr. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Barbara L. Landis and Connie L. Landis, at home, and William R. "Billy" Landis of Sinking Spring; sisters: Gale L. (Noll) Trostle, wife of Ron W. Trostle of Mohnton, and Lois B. (Noll) Barbon, wife of Dennis M. Barbon of Birdsboro.

James T. McCauley Jr., 46, died Nov. 7 in his Kenhorst residence. He was the husband of Elizabeth A. (Schaeffer) McCauley and the son of Theresa M. (Romanovic) and her husband, Dr. Donald J. Kasper, West Chester. He was predeceased by his father, James T. McCauley Sr. Also surviving are siblings: Dr. Lisa Marie McCauley, Thomas McCauley, John M. McCauley and Patrick M. McCauley; and stepsiblings: Donna Urian, Carla Kasper, Dr. Kevin Kasper, Keith Kasper, Julia Kasper and Patricia Shores.

Helen M. Moyer, 76, Reading, died Nov. 6 in the residence of her daughter, Lisa C., wife of Mark Moyer, Bernville. Helen is also survived by a son, Ronald L. Moyer, Wyomissing; and a daughter, Beth A., wife of Kevin Moyer, Birdsboro.

Elizabeth Jane Paszek, died Oct. 12. She was preceded in death by husband, Edward Paszek. She is survived by her daughters and their families.

Grace M. (Fritz) Rehrer, 85, Ontelaunee Township, died Nov. 6 in ManorCare, Sinking Spring. She was the wife of Wilson P. Rehrer, Ontelaunee Township. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Robert W. Rehrer, Wernersville; granddaughter, Jennifer L. (Rehrer), wife of Jason Harter, Shillington; and stepgrandsons, Raymond and Matthew Hildenbrand; a brother, Allen Fritz, Maryland; and a sister, Hellen (Fritz) Snyder, Reading.

Janet E. Rowlands, 77, Robesonia, died Nov. 6 in Reading Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. Rowlands. She is survived by sons: David F. Rowlands, Robesonia; Robin Robert Rowlands, North Ridgeville, Ohio; and John P. Rowlands, Knoxville, Tenn.;  grandchildren: Jennifer L., David C., Elizabeth M., Amanda R., Ashley A., and Nathan Rowlands.

Ruth Lockhart Davis, 100, a resident at the Highlands at Wyomissing, died Nov. 6 in the Reading Hospital.

Florence G. Dublin, 81, Myerstown, died Nov. 7  in Reading Hospital. She was the wife of the late John E. Dublin. Surviving are a son, Craig E. Dublin, of West Lawn; grandchildren: Christopher C. Dublin, Shawna A., wife of Michael Henry, Erin C., wife of Robert Haller, and Courtney J. Dublin.

Raymond F. Hauser, 95,died Nov. 7 in the Lutheran Home at Topton. He was the husband of the late Rose M. (Penta) Hauser. Surviving are sons, Dr. Raymond J. Hauser, Bowers, and John F. Hauser, Sinking Spring; grandchildren: Christopher R. Hauser, Los Alamos, N.M.; Elizabeth L. Wilock, Seymour, Conn.; Alexander J. Hauser, Richmond, Va.; and Nicole R. Hauser, a student at Fordham University, New York City.

Margaret C. Kohl, 78, died Nov. 7 in the Mifflin Health Center, Cumru Township. She was the wife of Raymond K. Kohl, Rittenhouse Senior Living Center. Other survivors include sons, John P. Tabakelis Jr., of Downingtown, and George P. Tabakelis, of Muhlenberg Township; and daughter, Rita M., wife of Ralph W. Lebo Jr., of Muhlenberg Township; stepson, Keith Kohl, in Florida; and stepdaughter, Kathie A. Sterner, in New York; grandchildren: Kirsten Tabakelis, Theresa Norris, Stephen Tabakelis, Bernadette, Alexandria and Samantha Tabakelis, Philip A. and Ethan G. Tabakelis, Austin Heckman, and Zachary J. and Stephanie M. Lebo.

Richard Porter, 79, Penn Township, died Nov. 8 in his residence. Richard was the husband of W. Ann (Hendershot) Porter. Surviving also are son, Timothy Porter, of Robesonia, and daughter, Pamela Ann, wife of Stephen Bell, of Lebanon; brothers, Stuart Porter of Rochester, N.Y., and Paul Porter of Robesonia; grandchildren: Joshua Porter; Jeremy Porter; Rebekah, Elizabeth, Sarah, Nathaniel, Andrew, Hannah and Benjamin Bell; and Rachael, wife of Benjamin Ilgenfritz.

Mary Jane Barlet, 76, Muhlenberg Township, died Nov. 7 in ManorCare, Muhlenberg Township. She was the wife of Walter A. Barlet. Surviving also are son Steven A. Barlet, of Sinking Spring; granddaughters Stephanie L. Barlet and Carolyn M. Belles.

Mildred E. Beaver, 87, Wyomissing, died Nov. 8 at St. Joseph Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Charles M. Beaver.

Andres Ortiz Cajigas, 33, Reading, died Nov. 6. He was the son of Andres Ortiz and Maria N. Cajigas, both of Manati. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are son, Andrew Ortiz, Manati, and sisters, Sari Ortiz, Manati, and Damari Bruno, Hatillo, Puerto Rico.

Kevin M. Caramela, 54, Mohnton, died Nov. 7 at Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Marlyn S. (Matson) Caramela. Also surviving are daughters, Autumn J., wife of Damon Fichthorn, of Wernersville, and Ashley R., wife of Joshua Lorah, of West Lawn; granddaughters, Kyleigh and Makayla Fichthorn; sisters, Pamela Smith, of Green Hills, and Michele, wife of Nick Bolognese, of West Lawn; and brother, Gregory Caramela, of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

Regina M. (Rozzi) Carifo, 49, Spring Township, died Nov. 8 at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was a daughter of Gene F. Rozzi and Sylvia (Ermi) Rozzi of Aliquippa and the wife of James E. Carifo. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her children, Jon R. Carifo and Gianna F. Carifo of Sinking Spring; a brother, Gene F. "Sparky" Rozzi Jr.

Shari L. Cassel, 42, Cumru Township, died Nov. 7 in her residence. She was a daughter of Sandra J. (Hoover) Cassel, companion of Melvin S. Fox, with whom she resided, and the late Glenn D. Cassel. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are brothers, Shane D. Cassel of Shillington and Brock D. Cassel of Boyertown.

Renetta L. Kerstetter, 80, Reading, died Nov. 8 at ManorCare Health Services, West Reading. She was the widow of Clayton W. Kerstetter. Surviving are a daughter, Ann L. Heffner of Reading, and a granddaughter, Laura Nicholson of Douglassville.

Barry F. "Nick" Koch, 70, Shoemakersville, died Nov. 7 in M.S. Hershey Medical Center, Derry Township. He was the husband of Georgine M. (Romanic) Koch. Also surviving are a son; daughters; several grandchildren; sister, Joyce, wife of Homer Kershner, Wyomissing Hills.

Russell P. "Mooney" Meck, 93, died Nov. 7 in ManorCare Health Services, Sinking Spring. He was the widower of Regina G. (Setley) Meck. Surviving is daughter, Linda R., wife of Thomas Illig, of Sinking Spring.

Ralph P. Riegel, 83, Wyomissing, died Nov. 8 in Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Leah A. (Deck) Riegel. In addition to his wife, he is survived by children: Rodney L., Shillington; Cynthia L. Eisenbise, Wernersville; Gary B., Reading, David A., Exeter Township; and Steven C., Pomona, N.J.; brothers, Robert, Centerport, and Bruce, Mohrsville.

Modesta Rivera, 58, died in her Reading residence Nov. 7. She was the wife of Wilfredo Velasquez and the daughter of Pablo Rivera and Alberta Blondet. She is also survived by sons: Alexis Arroyo, Wilfredo Andino and Ismael Perez, and daughters Ana Luz Andino, Joanna Rivera and Jacqueline Sierra.

June F. Schnibbe, 84, Reading, died Nov. 9 in the Golden Living Center, Exeter Township. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl F. Schnibbe. Surviving is son, Carl P. Schnibbe, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Paul R. Smith Sr., 73, Cumru Township, died on Nov. 7 at his residence. Surviving is the mother of his children, Evelyn I. (Thompson) Smith of Cumru Township; son Paul R. Jr., of Wyomissing; daughter Gail C. Smith-Rader, wife of Donald P. Rader, of Cumru Township; grandchildren: Brandon H. Smith and Hollie R. Smith, both of Wyomissing, and Donielle P. Rader of Cumru Township; and sisters: Arlene Richard of Exeter Township, Betty May of Wernersville and Shirley Dysput of Millsboro, Del.

Clarence R. "Fox" Cartwright, 83, Kutztown, died Nov. 9 in his residence. He was the husband of Helen (Oswald) Cartwright. In addition to his wife, he is survived by brothers, Gerald Cartwright, Lancaster, and Anthony Cartwright, Hamburg.

James R. Glassmoyer, 51, Shillington, died Nov. 9 in Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. He was the husband of Carolyn M. (Eckert) Glassmoyer. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters, Lauren M. Glassmoyer of Philadelphia and Melanie N. Glassmoyer of Shillington; and a granddaughter, Mikayla F. Boyer.

Sharon A. Kalke, 66, Upper Bern Township, Shartlesville, died Nov. 9 in her residence. She was the wife of George A. Kalke. Also surviving are son, Stephen Dunlap of Stouchsburg; and stepdaughters, Teresa Sweinhart of Bethel and Barbara Schiano of Berrysburg; brothers: Milford A. "Tony" Dunlap Jr., of Temple, David Dunlap, of Telford, and Brian Dunlap, of Smyrna, Tenn.; and sisters: Eileen, wife of Robert Lorah of Green Hills, Kathleen Dawson of Sinking Spring, Donna, wife of Daniel Quinter of Alsace Township, and Bernice, wife of Greg Miller of Hamburg.

Mary (Drey) Kiefer, 90, Douglassville, died Nov. 9. She was the widow of Clauser Thomas Kiefer. Surviving are a son, Larry L. Kiefer, Douglassville; a daughter, Patricia A., wife of Gary L. Leister, Oley; grandchildren: Stephanie, Ryan, Tracy, Tiffany and Tammy.

Thomas L. Landis, 59, died Nov 9 at Berks Heim, Bern Township. He was the husband of Bonnie (Schmeck) Landis. Surviving are daughters, Jennifer and Kelly, of Frisco, Colo.; sisters Beverly Hinnershitz, Bernville, and Ruth Ann Christman, Oley.

Jacqueline M. Meitzler, 57, West Reading, died Oct. 31 in Reading Hospital. She was the companion of Leon R. Lafferty Jr. for the past 30 years.

Ethel A. Sweigart, 94, Bern Township, died Nov. 9 in her residence. She was the widow of Clair H. Sweigart. She is survived by sons: Donald E. Sweigart, of Indianapolis, Ind.; David L. Sweigart, of Marble Falls, Texas; Dennis P. Sweigart, of Hyde Park, and Dean A. Sweigart, of Mohrsville; and daughter, Dawn M., wife of Carl Hassler of Myerstown; sisters, Sara Jane, wife of Richard Trout, and Jean, wife of Melvin Hoover, both of Womelsdorf.

Scott Richard Whitehead, 54, Sinking Spring, died Nov. 9 at the Reading Hospital. He was the companion of Donna Miller and a son of Richard and Pauline Fitterling Whitehead of Sinking Spring. Also surviving are sons, Josh M. of Sinking Spring and Brad M. at home; granddaughter Gabryella K. Whitehead; and brother Curt L. Whitehead of Sinking Spring.

Steve Matt Baksic, 90, Reading, died Nov. 11 in the Golden Living Center, Exeter Township. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Alice (Schwambach) Baksic. He is survived by a son, Steven J. Baksic, of Lower Alsace Township; a grandson, Steven K. Baksic, of Spring Township; a sister, Fay Yankosky, of Ft. Wayne, Ind.

Mae A. Bohn, 80, Wernersville, died Nov. 10 in her residence. She was the wife of Henry E. Bohn Jr. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Kathleen M.B., wife of Leonard Zerbe, Wernersville, and Teresa M., wife of Jeffrey Zechman, Hershey; and a sister, Helen, wife of the Rev. Dr. Clyde Shallenberger, Baltimore, Md.; grandchildren: Nicole Zechman, Nathan Zechman, Joshua Zerbe and Josiah Zerbe.

Grace T. Galczynski, 76, Wernersville, died Nov. 11 at Berks Heim County Home. She was the wife of the late Theodore F. Galczynski. Surviving are a son, Greg G. Galczynski, and grandchildren, Erin L. and Justin G. Galczynski, all of Wernersville.

Joan S. Hock, 79, Reading, died  Nov. 10 in Mifflin Center. She was the   wife of Herman H. Hock. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Diane L. (Hock), wife of J. Robert Sauppee III, of Blandon, and a son, Gregory J. Hock of Reading; grandchildren: Michelle A. Roulias, Stephanie L. Roulias and Jennifer A. Werner; and a brother, Joseph Sockel of Reading.

Ida Lee McKnight-Isaac, 68, Reading, died Nov. 9 in Spruce Manor,West Reading. Surviving are her husband, Carl Harry Isaac; daughter, Sharon McKnight; sons, Keith McKnight and Stevie Skipper, husband of Deborah; sisters: Delores, wife of Thomas Ford of New Jersey; Mary, wife of Thomas Isaac of Reading, and Cynthia Powell of New Jersey; brother, Ervie Powell of North Carolina.

Suzanne L. (Stewart) Murray, 57, Mt. Penn, died Nov. 9 in her home. She was the wife of John J. Murray and a daughter of Elaine (Farrell) Stewart of Gouglersville and the late George M. Stewart Jr. Also surviving are a brother, Mark F. Stewart, of Green Bay, Wis.; sisters: Stephanie, wife of Curt Hill of Lower Alsace; Martha, wife of Keith Karlson of Birdsboro; Amy, wife of Darron Yeager of Shillington, and Elizabeth Stewart of Pennside.

Gavin Christopher Owens, 3, died  Nov. 8 at A.I. DuPont Children's Hospital, Wilmington, Del. Surviving are parents, Adam and Karen (Hartman) Owens; sister, Madison Mackenzie, also at home; maternal grandparents Linda and James Cisick of Boyertown; paternal grandparents Molly and Richard Owens of Turbotville.

Doris R. (Preneta) Sabulsky, 77, Wyomissing, died Nov. 11 in Reading Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Sabulsky. Surviving are children: John J., Mohnton; Carol A., wife of Steven Amann, Phillipsburg, N.J., and Scott A., Columbus, Ga.; and sister, Vicky Bodyl, Trescow.

Wilson D. Schmoyer, 91, widower of Pauline Louise (Yannessa) Schmoyer, of Boyertown, died Nov. 10 in Chestnut Knoll, Boyertown. Wilson is survived by daughters, Mary A. Stengel of Barto and Susan, wife of Don Ferriolo of San Diego, Calif; sons, Dan T. Schmoyer of Pottstown, and David W. Schmoyer of San Diego, Calif.; a brother, Howard Schmoyer; sisters, Anna, wife of Earl Giest, and Erma Frye.

Lillian Viola Wagner, 89, died Nov. 10 in Mifflin Center, Cumru Township. She was the wife of the late L. Earl Wagner. Surviving are siblings: June Kruk of Pompano Beach, Fla.; Lawrence W. Nagle of Douglassville; John K. Nagle of Cumru Township; Eugenia A. Luppold of Portland, Ore.; and Robert L. Nagle of Cumru Township.
