Eddie Nelson Alers, 71, of Reading, passed away May 10 at Berks Heim Nursing Home, Leesport. He was the husband of Anselma (Rosa) Alers. Also surviving are daughters, Judy of Laureldale, Lissette of Shillington, and Emily of New Jersey; sons, Eddie N. of Temple, Nelson of New Jersey; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pauline W. Bensinger, 97, of Temple, passed away May 15 at St. Joseph Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Bensinger. Pauline is survived by sons, Robert D. (Kathy L.) Bensinger of West Lawn, and David C. (Pat A.) Bensinger of Hamburg; grandchildren, Thomas (Jocelyn), Justin (Jennifer), Cybill, Matthew; and great-grandchildren, Trent and Kylie.

Kathleen L. (Hildebrand) Blatt, 66, of Reading, passed away May 12 in her home. She was the wife of Edward I. Blatt. Kathleen is also survived by sons, David M. (Wendy) Wojchehoski of Mt. Penn, and Robert E. (Corinna) Blatt of Reading; daughter, Gwendolyn D. (Arthur) of Tennessee; grandchildren; and sister, Sandra K. (Mark W.) Henderson of Reading.

Robert A. Bricker, 86, of Sinking Spring, passed away May 10 in Reading Hospital. He was the widower of Barbara E. (McCoy) Bricker. Robert is survived by son, Robert K. (Bernice) Bricker of Myerstown; daughter, Robin L. Wagar of Robesonia; grandchildren, Pamela, Melissa and Michael; sister, Jeanne L. Haines; and brother, E. William Bricker.

Larry C. Brubaker, 78, of Wernersville, passed away May 15 at his residence. Survivors include his wife, Diane L. (Rohrbacher) Brubaker; children, L. Jeffrey Brubaker of Columbus, OH, Jennifer Selby of Hummelstown, and Jocelyn Baer of New Cumberland; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and sister, Ann Marie Burdge.

Jacqueline Ann (Chappie) Capes, 53, of Birdsboro, passed away May 15 at the Reading Hospital & Medical Center. Jacqueline is survived by sons, Dean P. Capes and Dustin H. (Alyssa) Capes, both of Birdsboro; brother, Paul Chappie of Exeter Twp.; sister, Theresa Raser of Exeter Twp.; and grandson, Carter.

Larry C. Care, 68, of Reading, passed away May 10 in the Exeter Greens Care & Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Kathleen L. (Hill) Care. Also surviving are son, Christopher D. Care of Reading; and daughter, Stacey L. Care of Georgia.    

Florence T. Carey, 83, of Wernersville, passed away May 11 at the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Harrison C. Carey. Florence is also survived by sons, Joseph H. (Patricia) Carey and Mark D. Carey; brother, Anthony N. Mitchell; grandchildren, Jennifer and Charles (Sarah); great-grandchildren, Connie, Jessica, Austin, Aubrey and Hope; great-great-grandchildren, Samuel and Colin; aunt, Josephine Screpesi; cousins; nieces and nephews.

Mildred Doris (DeHart) Crimmins, 85, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away in the Reading Hospital May 12. She was the wife of the late John Thomas Crimmins, Jr. Surviving are son, Brian K. Crimmins of Muhlenberg Twp.; grandsons, Travis (Eleana) and David (Briana); nephews, Lincoln Jr. and Gregory; and niece, Joyce.

Andrea Cruz-Montanez, 83, of Reading, passed away May 13 in St. Joseph Medical Center. She is survived by children, Teofilo DeJesus Cruz Jr., Maria Armstrong and William DeJesus Cruz; grandchildren, Jason, Jacklyn, Joshua and Jennifer; great-grandchildren; brother, Lucas Cruz; and sister, Tona Ortiz.

Michael P. DeMarte, 74, of Stonersville, passed away May 13 in Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the husband of Charleen M. (Henry) DeMarte. Mike is survived by daughter, Tracee M. DeMarte of Birdsboro; son, Troy M. DeMarte of Stonersville; and grandson, Troy Jr.

Emma Lugo Diaz, 74, of Reading, passed away May 13 in the Reading Hospital. She was the widow of Miguel A. Diaz. Emma is survived by children, Migdalia Albarran, Marilyn Lugo-Montalvo, Blanca (Francisco) Hernandez, and Angel E. Diaz; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Geraldine “Gerry” M. Didyoung, 83, formerly of Pennside, passed away May 11 in ManorCare, Laureldale. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerard J. Didyoung. Gerry is survived by children, James G. (Kim) Didyoung and Mary Jo Didyoung, both of Pennside, and Frederick J. Didyoung; brother, Whalen J. Smith, Reading; grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Jennifer C. Eckert, 49, formerly of Reading, passed away May 7 in Buckeye, AZ. She was the daughter of Frederick C. Zabodyn and the late Joyce C. Zabodyn. Also surviving are stepmother, Janet Zabodyn; daughter, Elizabeth Duesterhoeft of Reston, VA; brother, Christopher H. Zabodyn; stepbrother, Frederick C. Zabodyn, Jr.; and stepsister, Brenda C. Homan.

Maurice E. “Dutch” Eschbach, Jr., 88, of Amity Twp., passed away May 11 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the widower of Dolores E. “Dolly” (Kuser) Eschbach. Surviving are daughter, Kerry A. Drey of Birdsboro; granddaughter, Lauren; brother, Paul (Lynn) Eschbach of Birdsboro; nieces and nephews.

Ronald L. Eschbach, 75, of Sinking Spring, passed away May 8. He is survived by his partner, Dorothy Dronsfield-Eschbach.

Ann L. Feeney, 77, of Reading, passed away May 11 at her residence. She was the widow of Richard L. Feeney. Ann is survived by stepdaughter, Mary M. (Scott) Boyer of Naperville, IL; stepsons, Timothy S. (Michele) Feeney of Exeter Twp., and John (Cathy) Feeney of Plantation, FL; sister, Sue M. Shappel; and brother, Albert T. (Diane) Whitehead of Fleetwood.

John G. “Jack” Ferenchick, 74, of Sinking Spring, passed away in his residence May 14. He was the husband of Carole (Yaroshak) Ferenchick. John is also survived by sons, Stephen (Rebecca) Ferenchick, Wynnewood, PA, Michael Ferenchick, Lancaster, and Timothy (Grace) Ferenchick, Sinking Spring; brothers, James (Connie) Ferenchick, Orwigsburg, and Francis (Dawn) Ferenchick, Schuylkill Haven; grandchildren, Ellie, Kate, Alex, Sam and Will; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Paul A. “Goose” Ganter, Jr., 68, of Reading, passed away May 9 in his residence. He is survived by daughter, Jennifer A. (Christopher A.) Maryniak of Cumru Twp.; grandchildren, Connor and Taylor; and siblings, Elizabeth Mills of New Mexico, Robert Ganter of Pennside, and Rosemary Denunzio of Oley.

William D. Greth, 92, of Reading, passed away May 15 at The Reading Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Joan S. Greth; children, Jeffrey S. Greth and Suzanne Schrum; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and sister, C. Marie Icelow.

Arlene M. Haas, 74, of Robesonia, passed away in her residence May 15. She was the wife of Harold R. Haas. Also surviving are sisters, Helen Styer and Evelyn Wagner; nieces and nephews, including Tricia Zimmerman, Paula Terry, Beckey Britt, Paul and Allen Styer, Sharon Maressa, and Lyndell Sahd.

Florence “Flo” E. (Clark) Hartline, 96, formerly of Birdsboro, passed away May 10 at Keystone Villa at Douglassville. She was the widow of Charles “Chick” Irvin Hartline. Surviving are sons, John C. (Patricia), Hartline of Birdsboro,  and Keith C. (Barbara) Hartline of Denison, TX; grandchildren, Melissa (George), Rachel (George), and Christopher (Karen); and great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Lane, Conner and Johnny.

John D. “Jack” Hildebrandt, Jr., 83, of Wernersville, passed away May 8 at Phoebe Berks Health Care Center. He is survived by his wife, Janet Baker Hildebrandt; children, Beth (Tom) Bucci of Wayne, John (Christine) Hildebrandt of Florida, Eric (Karen) Hildebrandt of California, Troy (Kim) Hildebrandt and Keith Hildebrandt, both of Sinking Spring; and grandchildren, Alyson, James, Morgan, Jack, Derek, Devyn, Brandon, Trisha and Crystal.

Walter “Sack” E. Kerns, 95, of Reading, passed away May 13 in The Berkshire Center, Exeter Twp. He was predeceased by his wife, Florence F. (Pietrzykowski) Kerns. Walter is survived by daughter, April A. (Joseph E.) Rosenbaum of Douglassville; grandchildren, Amy (John) and Eric (Brooke); and great-grandchildren, Reagan, Jillian and Declan; and brother, George Kerns of New Jersey.

Nancy M. Kline, 88, passed away May 10 in Manor Care, Laureldale. She was the wife of the late William H. Kline.

Michael J. Koskoski, 78, of Wyomissing, passed away May 12 in The Highlands at Wyomissing. He was the husband of Elma (Stoudt) Gross Koskoski. Michael is also survived by stepdaughters, Diane G. Stevenson, Breinigsville, Merry E. Keller, St. Louis, MO, Lori C. Keller, Breinigsville; sister, Helen (Mike) Mihalcik, Princeton, NJ; sisters-in-law, Marie Koskoski and Catherine Koskoski; stepgrandchildren, David, Michael, Tacha, Tyson; stepgreat-grandchildren, Yaqeenah and Yaqeen; nieces and nephew.

Marjorie M. Kulp, 84, of Fleetwood, passed away May 13 in Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital. She is survived by cousins, Doris Reeves of Shillington, Vicki L. (Stuart M.) Snyder of Fleetwood, Carl (Michelle) Goodhart of Reading, and Jean Strickler of Harrisburg.

Francisco Lizardi-Ortiz, 51, of Reading, passed away May 9 in his residence. He was the son of Cruz Lizardi and Carmen Ortiz. Francisco is survived by daughter, Lissete Lizardi of New Jersey; granddaughter, Milania; sisters and brothers.

Betty Lou Marbarger, 83, of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away in her home May 11. She was the wife of the late Harold C. Marbarger. Betty Lou is survived by children, Debra Lynn  (John W.) Kemmerling of Robeson Twp., Jody Marie (Robert M.) Paolino of Malvern, and Craig Harold Marbarger of Maiden Creek Twp.; grandchildren, Colette (Samuel F.), Christopher and Rachael.

Wade A. McQuiston, 52, of Reading, passed away May 7 at Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading. He was the son of M. Kathy (Kravatz) and the late William McQuiston. He is also survived by sister, Kimberly Border.

Andrew Richardson “Rick” Morton, 64, of Reading, passed away May 10 in the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Marie A. (Matchicka) Morton. Rick is also survived by son, Mark Andrew (Michelle) Morton of Boyertown; daughter, Barbara Gale (Scott) Brauher of Vestaburg, MI; stepdaughter, Nicole M. (Gregory) Kelly of Ellicott City, MD; grandchildren, David, Cheyenne, Jaqueline, Jakob, Ryan and Connor; sisters: Monte Lee Morton of West Grove, PA, Daisy Mae Albanese of Germantown, MD, and Alta Rae (Ron) Sprenkle of Youngsville, NC; brother, William Curtis (Patricia) Morton, Jr. of Joppa, MD; nieces and nephews.

Terry Lee Mountz, 69, of Spring Twp., passed away May 15 in his home. He was the husband of Anna Marie (Wiley) Mountz. Terry is also survived by daughters, Stacy L. and Stephanie A. Mountz; grandchildren, Aidan, Elijah, Ava, Max and Landon; and by siblings, Robert J. and Ronald E. Mountz, Barbara A. Kessler, and Anna Mae McCarthy.

Phuong Ngoc Nguyen, 65, of West Reading, passed away May 10 in Reading hospital. He was the husband of An Thi Nguyen. Also surviving are daughters, Minh Chau (Thomas) Marihart of Lemoore, CA, and Bich Ngoc (An Tran) of Reading; grandchildren, Philip, William, Phu, Vy and Nhung; siblings, Lan, Tien, Thu, Tuan and Thanh, all of Reading; stepchildren, Lam Phan, Chi Phan and Hai Phan; and stepgrandchildren, Andy, Cody, Randy, Jenny, Heather, Sandra, Hanna and Lily.

Rebecca A. Palmer, 76, passed away May 13 in her Reading residence. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell D. Palmer, Jr. Surviving are daughters, Sandra Grim, Deborah McGrath and Rebecca Hinsey; sons, Jeffrey Grim, Timothy Grim, David Grim and Mark Grim; sister, Eleanore Gowans; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Harry Steven Passion, 67, of Cumru Twp., passed away May 14 in his home. He was the husband of Vida M. (Hignett) Passion. Harry was the son of Ida (Jannone) Passion of Rising Sun, MD, and the late Harry A. Passion. He is also survived by children, McKenna Lee Passion, Audra (Brent) Cadle, Nathan Passion and Gabriel Passion, all of Florida; grandchildren; sister, Ruth (Louis) Blakely of Rising Sun, MD; and brother, F. Thomas (Karen) Passion of Tennessee.

Martha S. (Diaz) Ramos, 89, formerly of Reading, passed away May 12 in San Antonio. She was the widow of Juan A. Ramos. Martha is survived by daughters, Paula Colon of San Antonio, TX, Rosa Ramos of Houston, TX, Anna (Larry) Eppenstein of Odenton, MD, and Maria Ramos of Houston, TX; sons, Hipolito (Cynthia) Ramos of Reading, Raul Ramos of Mohnton,  Hiram (Corina) Ramos of Reading, Angel (Donalyn) Ramos of Ft. Mills, SC, and George Ramos of San Antonio, TX: sisters, Rosaura Diaz of Yabucoa, PR, and Esther Diaz Arroyo of Harrisburg; brother, Pedro Diaz of Yabucoa, PR; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Fern E. (Dobbs) Ream, 94, of Wyomissing, passed away May 15 in Spruce Manor. She was married to the late Edward F. Ream. Fern is survived by son, David F. (Darlene) of New Jersey; daughter, Dawn E. Ream of Wyomissing; sister, Nancy L. Frankhouser, Lancaster; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Marvin C. Riegel, 91, of Douglasville, passed away May 16 at the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of the late Margaret L. “Peg” Riegel. Marvin is survived by sons, Mark (Cynthia) Riegel, Bruce (Christine) Riegel, David (Marla) Riegel, Matthew (Tamara) Riegel, Seth (Wenonah) Riegel; brother, Ralph Riegel; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Jack Lee Shultz, 77, of Wyomissing, passed away May 13 at Manor Care in Sinking Spring. He was the husband of Diane (Kessler) Shultz. Jack is also survived by children, David A. (Denise C.) Shultz, and Laura D. (Christopher W.) Sleat; grandchildren, Maxwell, Zoe, Ian and Helen; and brothers, Ronald C. (Andrea) Shultz, and Randy (Judy) Shultz.

Gunhild E. Siegfried, 91 , of Wernersville, passed away May 7 at The Reading Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Wayne J. Siegfried. Gunhild is survived by daughter, Anita L. Siegfried of Wernersville.

Robert G. Smith, 79, of Spring Twp., passed away May 12 at his residence. He is survived by sister, Susan R. (James) Dockey of Sinking Spring; niece, Shelley (Mark) Mohn of Sinking Spring; and nephew, Kevin Dockey of Los Angeles, CA.

Helen L. Southworth, 90, formerly of West Lawn, passed away May 14 in Manor Care Health Services, Spring Twp. She was the wife of the late Forrest C. Southworth. Helen is survived by daughter, Margaret L. Radkowski of Shillington; grandchildren, F. Joseph (Kate), and Anastasia (Brad); great-grandchildren, Reese, Raegan and Rhett; and siblings, Thomas (Ann) Harkness of Lincoln Park, Alice Southworth of Newmanstown, Ernestine Remp of Delaware, and Fay Sweigart of Ephrata.

Robert W. “Stubby” Stubblebine, 61, of Reading, passed away May 10 in his residence. He is survived by brother, Keith (Bonnie) Stubblebine; sisters, Sandra M. Sublette and Debra L. Galloway; nieces, Danelle, Holly, Amanda and Kaitlin; and nephew, Austin.

Angelo J. Vaccaro, 83, of Reading, passed away May 15 at his residence. He is survived by daughter, Donna Steffe; sisters, Clara Ingram of Reinholds, Angeline Harris, Josephine Condos, Carmella Chipperfield, Antoinette Bauer, and Jennie Redcay, all of Reading; and brothers, Samuel Vaccaro and John Vaccaro, both of Reading, and Joseph Vaccaro of Virginia.

Dorothy J. (Jordan) Vaughn, 72, of Wernersville, passed away May 9 in her residence. She was the wife of Tyrone L. Vaughn. Dorothy is also survived by children, Antoine (Nichole) Vaughn, Woodbridge, VA, and Antoinette (Christopher) Bishop, Sinking Spring; grandchildren, Antoine Jr., and Jamaari; nephew, Arthur Jordan; niece, Aretha Jordan; sisters-in-law, Edmonia Kelson, Balitmore, Ada (Bobby) McClain, Lillian Wright, and Syvil (Michael) Mobley, all of Maryland.

Alice M. Weinhold, 89, of Shillington, passed away May 14 in the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of Charles E. Weinhold. Alice is also survived by children, Rhonda Pawling, Andrea Scherzberg, Deborah Scherzberg; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Gail Franklin Weimer, 94, passed away May 8 at Reading Hospital. He was the husband of the late Betty (Elizabeth) Lofton. Gail is survived by son, Eric Weimer of Chicago, IL; nephews and nieces and their children.

John M. Wisniewski, 67, passed away May 14 in Reading Hospital. He is survived by son, John Wisniewski; brother, Richard Wisniewski; sister, Bernadette Wisniewski; and former wife, Susan Rodgers.

Anthony Zeigler, of Fleetwood, passed away May 12 at St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading. He was the husband of Kyong Sun Zeigler. Anthony is also survived by sisters, Julia A. of Hamburg, and Leslie L. of Reading; and nephew, Kevin R. (Christina) Zeigler, of Kars, Ontario.

Mary Ann Zettlemoyer, 67, of Spring Twp., passed away May 12 in Manor Care Health Services, Spring Twp. She was the wife of the late Barry L. Zettlemoyer. Mary Ann is survived by son, Alan M. Zettlemoyer of Lancaster; and sisters, Elizabeth Snyder of Shillington, and Diane Miller of Macungie.

Susan I. Zierdt, 82, of Gibralter, passed away May 11. She is survived by daughters, Sue Belz and Michele Meyers; son, William Bower; grandchildren, Joshua, Nathan, Stephen, Tanisha, and Leilyn; and great-grandchildren, Masen and Laila.
