Karen Armstrong, 67, a long-time resident of Helsinki, Finland, passed away May 29. Armstrong is survived by daughters, Delia and Annika, along with their father.
Jesse R. Bechtel, 90, formerly of Oley, passed away August 19 in Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was the husband of Catherine (Eshbach) Bechtel. Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: Elaine, wife of Larry Shirk of Lancaster; David, husband of Janis Bechtel of Stroudsburg; Glenn, husband of Sharon Bechtel of Oley; and Bruce, husband of Debra Bechtel of Boyertown; sisters, Mary Schueck of Barto and Sarah Forsythe of Harleysville; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Neale C. Bechtel, 79, of Temple, Alsace Twp., passed away June 6. He was the husband of Joan (Garl) Bechtel. In addition to his wife, Mr. Bechtel is survived by his daughter, Tammy (Bechtel) Lillis, wife of Jeffrey Lillis of Reading; his grandson, Justin A. Lillis of Reading; his sister, Gayle (Bechtel) Fusner; and several nieces and nephews.
