Evelyn C. Appolloni, 83, of Alsace Twp., passed away July 18 at Reading Hospital. Her husband, Emilio A. Appolloni, preceded her in death. Evelyn is survived by daughters, Linda (Fred) Roxberry of Shillington, Tamara (Philip) Schwartz of Newburyport, MA, and Andrea Appolloni of Oley; grandchildren, Emily, Angela, Tobias and Hannah; sisters, Lois Melcher, Ruth Young, Myrtle Huber, and Grace Yoder, all of Reading, and Carole Stamm of Cape Coral, FL.

Richard D. Barnett, 82, of Kenhorst, passed away July 9 in his home. He was predeceased by his wife, Agnes P. (Mobilio) Barnett. Richard is survived by sons, Gregory R. Barnett of West Lawn, and Dale C. (Eileen M.) Barnett of Exeter Twp.; and grandchildren, Phillip, Sarah, Louis and Daniel.

Joseph F. “Tank” Bocian, 89, of Reading, passed away July 1, in his residence. He is survived by his wife, Eleanore M. (Guzowski) Bocian. Tank is also survived by daughter, Helen (Tim) Hummel of Sinking Spring; sons, Joseph (Eva) Bocian and Gene Bocian, both of Cumru Twp., Michael (Katrina) Bocian of Charlotte NC, Richard Bocian of Chattanooga, TN, Blaze (Susan) Bocian of Catasauqua PA, and Anthony Bocian of Reading; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Sophie M. Bonanno, 93, formerly of Kenhorst, passed away July 13 in the Reading Health System. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Bonanno. Sophie is survived by daughters, Jo Ann (Bruce) Mitchell of Mohnton, Kathleen Urban-Fick (Lenny Fick) of Sinking Spring and Marcia Battista of Kenhorst; sister, Helen Iannucci of Kenhorst, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Fern V. G. Bowen, 84, of Robesonia, passed away July 17 at the Reading Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter F. Bowen. Fern is survived by stepdaughters, Ann L. Hess of Fleetwood, and Patricia A. Brimmer of Bernville; grandchildren, Tracy, Troy, Donn, and Kim; and great-grandchildren, Joseph, Breigh-Anne, Cassandra, Keith Jr., Ashton, and Serenity.

Debra Lynn Schlegel Camacho, 47, of Reading, passed away in her home July 12. She was the wife of Carlos Camacho. Also surviving are children, Charles (Lizbeth) Reed of Orwigsburg, and Jazmyn Mojica, Eric Schlegel, Danielle Mojica, Carlos Joseph Camacho, Destiny Camacho and Jenny Camacho, all of Reading; grandchildren, Jayden, Olivia, Anthony, Isaac, Michael, Haylee, Rowen, Victoria, Jadavin and Dreama; brother, Richard Schlegel of Reading; and sister, Brenda (William) Miccicke of Hamburg.

Mary Lou Capano, 84, of Douglassville, passed away July 17 in the Reading Hospital. She was the wife of the late Frank R. Capano. Surviving are son, Maurice (Theresa) Townsley of Monterey, CA; granddaughter, Lauren; sisters, Josephine Walt, Rosalee Schoenly, Shelly Talarico and Paula Bartosevich; nieces and nephews; and grandnieces and -nephews.

Blanche Marie Carpenter, 93, of Lower Alsace Twp., passed away July 14 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the widow of George B. Carpenter. Blanche is survived by son, William B. (Barbara) Carpenter of Fleetwood; daughters, Darlene E. Snyder and Elizabeth M. Carpenter, both of Pennside; and grandsons, Charles III and Paul.

Luis O. Colon-Vazquez, 48, of Reading, passed away July 16 at Penn State Health-St. Joseph. He was the son of Francisco Colon Brito, Sr. and Ana D. Vazquez. Luis is also survived by children, Luisito and Manuel Colon; and siblings.

David F. Crouse, 68, passed away July 15 in Berks Heim. He is survived by son, Matt D.; daughter, Kelly; and sisters, Patty Hockley and Holly Ziegler.

Evelyn M. Davidheiser, 96, passed away July 15 at Berks Heim. She was the wife of the late Harvey E. Davidheiser. Evelyn is survived by brother, Floyd B. (Jean) Thompson; nieces and nephews.

Patricia M. Fantilli, 80, of West Reading, passed away July 13. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph L. Fantilli. Patricia is survived by children, Deborah M. Fantilli of Reading, Christina L. Fantilli of Point Pleasant, NJ, and Joseph D. Fantilli of Fleetwood; and siblings, Sheila Levan of Muhlenberg Twp., Nancy Oswald of Florida, Jeff Scheifele of California, and David Scheifele of Tennessee.

Abimelec Navarro Gonzalez, 27, of Reading, passed away July 9. He was the son of Angel Navarro and Lilliam Gonzalez Rosa. Abimelec is also survived by sisters and brothers.

Leon P. Grim, 86, of Oley, passed away July 15 at his residence. He was the widower of Ann (Herman) Grim. Leon is survived by nieces, Carol (Joseph) Roskoski of Oley, Patricia Diehl of Stroudsburg, PA, Barbara (Richard) Garini of Wernersville; and nephew, Frank (Irene) Diehl of North Carolina.

Arlene Ruth (Pelka) Guti, 81, of Reading, passed away in the Reading Hospital July 16. She was the wife of Raymond A. Guti, Sr. Surviving are children, Robin L. (Gary) Leonti of Lenhartsville, Jerry L. (Stephanie) Guti, Sr. of Reading, Todd A. Guti of McKenney, VA, and Ruth A. (John Jr.) Laity and Raymond A. Guti, Jr., both of Reading; grandchildren, Tanya, Shawn, Brandon, Steven, Jerry Jr., Tabitha, Ethan, Korey, John, Amanda and Jessica; great- and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Pelker of Reading; and sister, Joan Aquilla of Shillington.

Joseph “Jack” Sherwood Hickernell, 92, passed away July 15 in the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. He was the husband of the late Carolyn Jane Ney. Jack is survived by children, Connie R. Hickernell, Millersville, and Cathy H. (Gary) Pastva of Cape Cod, MA; niece, Barbara D. Jacobson of Plant City, FL; nephew, David J. Ethel J. (Reider) Hohl, 91, of Geigertown, PA, passed away July 15 at Berkshire Center. She was the widow of Raymond R. Hohl. Surviving are son, Frank L. Maria (Riillo) Houck, 71, passed away July 15 in her Birdsboro home. She was the wife of Barry L. Houck, Sr. Maria is survived by a sister who resides in Italy; and grandchildren, Anthony, Amanda and Alexander.

Jacqueline M. Kades, 86, of Sinking Spring, passed away July 17 at Manor Care Health Services, Sinking Spring. She was the widow of Robert Kades. Jacqueline is survived by niece, Cheryl A. Barrett of Sinking Spring; and Scott Smith of Reading.

Nancy Lee (Rothenberger) Ketterer, 74, of ExeterTwp., passed away July 18 at Berkshire Center, Exeter Twp.. She was the widow of Donald Paul Ketterer. Surviving are daughters, Nadine M. (Terry L.) Hohl of Exeter Twp., and Kelly L. (Jeffrey A.) Byler of Bethel; brother, David B. (Roseann) Rothenberger of Fleetwood; grandchildren, Andrea (Jason), Amanda (Dominic), Michelle, Joshua (Janelle), Jared (Molly), and Jenna (David); and great-grandchildren, Donovan, Brianna, Bryce, Marley and Lucas.

John J. Kissinger, 71, passed away July 17 in the Reading Health System. Vernon L. “Sappy” Kulp, Jr., 94, of Birdsboro, passed away July 15 in his home. He was the widower of Elizabeth R. (Petrillo) Kulp. Surviving are son, Vernon L. Todd M. Solley, 55, of Reading, passed away July 13 in his residence. He was the son of Beverly A. (Solley) Rubright and stepson of Carl Rubright of Reading.

Ruth E. Walters, 95, formerly of Amity Twp., passed away July 17 at Berkshire Center, Exeter Twp. She was the widow of Joseph F. Walters. Surviving are children, Frederick J. (Sharon) Walters of Douglassville, and Elaine L. (Ken R.) Van Aken of Washington Crossing, Bucks Co.; and grandchildren, Samuel, Sarah and Eric.

Gregory Paul “Woody” Weckel, 68, formerly of Leesport, passed away at home July 8. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Andruzak) Jackson Weckel. Gregory is also survived by son, Gregory (Cindy) Weckel, Jr. and their daughter, Juliet; stepdaughter, Hope Walter; granddaughter, Madalynn; and brother, Leonard (Bryn) Weckel.

Mary Jane (Cass) Weller, 87 of Exeter Twp., passed away July 12 in Roanoke, VA. She was the widow of Lester Raymond Weller. Surviving are sons, Gary R. (Mary Louise) Weller of Reading, Glenn M. (Emogene) Weller of Penhook, VA, and Gregory S. (Jan) Weller of Exeter Twp.; grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua, Krista, and Kyle; and great-grandchildren.
